The Do More Agriculture Foundation is looking for you.

About The Do More Agriculture Foundation (Do More):

Do More Ag champions mental wellbeing within the Canadian agriculture industry. Our mission is to cultivate a culture where everyone is encouraged, supported, and empowered to take care of their mental wellbeing. The agricultural community is vulnerable to mental health issues; stress, anxiety, depression, grief, emotional exhaustion, and burnout are all present, along with known issues related to rural health access. So much is beyond farm and ranch control. Do More Ag seeks to lighten the load by creating action spaces and connections to break through the shame and fear too often associated with mental illness, fostering knowledgeable and supportive communities, and by bridging the gap between mental health resources that exist and those that need them.

Seeking: Facilitators

Position Summary: The Do More Agriculture Foundation, in partnership with Farm Credit Canada, offers communities the opportunity to host local community workshops for increased literacy in mental health. Our popular Talk Ask Listen sessions have been given in person and online right across Canada. If you are a mental health professional, have extensive training in mental health such as Mental Health First Aid, or have personal expertise and lived experience in supporting your own or another person’s mental health, we’d love to hear from you. Our facilitators are individual contractors and we provide coaching and training, and support, to lead community workshops in agricultural communities across Canada. We are particularly interested in increasing the number of facilitators we have in BC, Alberta, Quebec, and the Maritime provinces.

For more information about becoming a facilitator, please email Executive Director Dr. Merle Massie at merle@domore.ag.
